VIEW EACH HOLE IN GARLENDA... Story of Garlenda GOLF CLUB GARLENDA is located in the valley of Lerrone river, one of the most picturesque valleys of Liguria, and it is surrounded by ancient olive yards and pinewoods. From the highest "hole" you will enjoy a marvellous view of the seaside and of the maritime Alps. Garlenda is the ideal place for a plesant stay thet involves golf as well as other entertainments because it is close to Alassio, which is surely an attraction for the tourists, and Albenga which is an historical and artistically important site. The 18-hole golf course, which was opened in 1965, has been designed by architects Morrison and Herris, who have blended it in wonderfully with the local landscape without altering the environmental characteristics. The course covers 6085 mt., it is Par 72 and, from the Championship's Tee, it offers the most skilful players a demanding test and provides an enjoyable challenge to players from the normal Tees. Throughout the years the Club has been improving its technical level and it is open all the year round. The Club House is very well-appointed and has a games room, a snooker room, and a fine guest house, which has been recently enlarged. In the summer there is an open-air swimming pool. There are two horse races centres in the neighbourhood, from which you can enjoy beautiful rides going up into the valley, to the untouched woods and to pleasant village surrounded by olive yards. |
